Beef steak with mixed spices

This recipe is my own made up recipe. I love the delicious smell of steak especially when these spices on it.

Beef steak with mixed spices

Serves: 1

Ingredients

100g  beef steak or frying steak
1/2 tsp cracked pepper
1/2 tsp fennel seed, roughly crushed
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp oliver oil
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
side salad and orange zest for garnish

 spices

Method

1. Mix all the spices together.

2. Rub the olive oil on the steak both sides to help the spices stick on the steak.

3. Generously sprinkle mixed spices on steak both sides. Gently rub and leave the steak sit for 5 mins.

4. Meanwhile heat up a grill pan on high heat. I don't have one so I use non-stick pan it works perfect as well. Wait until the pan gets really hot then grill the steak each side for 30 secs (for frying steak) or depends on the thickness of steak and how well-done you like. I prefer mine medium rare.

5. Splash balsamic vinegar on steak both sides.

6. Take the steak of the heat and rest for 2-3 mins before cutting or serve.

Tip
Let your steaks come to room temperature before cooking.

Enjoy xx
